Plymouth Tree People are excited to inform you that we have been looking at places in Blockhouse Park and by the steps up from Pasley Street to plant more trees, at the request of local residents, and the community group Stoke in Bloom. If we get a positive response from residents and park users, the planting will be done with the support of The Plymouth & South Devon Community Forest (PSDCF) and funded by the DEFRA ‘Nature for Climate’ fund.

Please let us know what you think, and do get in touch if you have any questions.

We would also love to hear from you if you would like to help us plant the trees or help water them once they are planted.

Maritime Marvels: Here, the majestic Rowan tree stands tall, echoing our rich seafaring history. As you stroll through, you’ll find it whispers tales of sailors that once roamed our waters, connecting us to the vast oceans beyond.

Global Gaze: Our park showcases not only local legends but also a selection of exotic plant species from across the globe! This vibrant mix creates a stunning tapestry that reflects our city’s outward gaze and its connection to the world. Feel the spirit of adventure as you explore the diverse flora that makes Pasley Pocket Park a truly global garden!

Botanical Brilliance: With a keen eye on climate change, the Pasley Pocket Park is a forward-thinking garden that embraces the future! We’ve thoughtfully selected species that not only thrive today but will continue to flourish as our climate evolves. This isn’t just a garden; it’s an innovative green space that adapts and thrives alongside us. Its part of a bigger legacy on giving access to the world.

Resting: With a want to make this space a space for all, we can’t change the many steps but adding benches will support our young and old being able to take a quick break and rest in the space.
