Plymouth Bench People strike again!
A huge thank you to our amazing volunteer Tree Warden, Chris Hunt and friend of PTP Rupert, for installing these fab new, recycled plastic benches in Radford Park.
This spot was crying out to have new benches, after the original ones were either pinched or vandalised. The view is fantastic - from here you can see the Hoe and over to Devonport!
As soon as we delivered the benches, passersby came to sit on them with us for a chat and park users we have spoken to since have said they are in regular use.
The super sturdy benches are made in Devon by DCW Polymers and for every bench they sell they plant a tree!
Funding for these benches and the 12 trees planted by PTP volunteers was from the Plymouth and South Devon Community Forest. We'd also like to thank Graham for storing the benches until we could install them.
