We are creating this photo record to show how trees contribute to landscapes around Plymouth. The record is not just intended to show off the best trees although there should be plenty of those. It may also include potential problems and places where the tree cover is poor or non-existent.
We are relying on you, the public, and our network of tree wardens to send in or upload your photos. They can be of individual trees or groups of trees in relation to nearby buildings and roads, or distant views. The important thing is to capture the place's essential character and how that is influenced by trees.
When you send in photos, please tell us where and when they were taken. It's sometimes good to have the same view taken at different times of the year to show the effect of seasonal changes, or before and after some development has taken place.
Please respect the privacy of residents. Trees that are not visible from a public place must have the landowner's permission first. Plymouth Tree Partnership reserves the right not to include images or comments without having to give a reason.
If you would like to be acknowledged as the photographer on the website please include your name. Copyright will belong to Plymouth Tree Partnership unless you request otherwise. Images with Plymouth Tree Partnership copyright may be reproduced without further acknowledgement unless otherwise stated. Please see individual images for specific detail.
To upload photos to the site, browse to the correct place by selecting first a category and then a Tree Record location. At the top and bottom of the page is a link that will allow you to upload images. If the location you want is not already showing, you can create a new one by clicking the link marked "Create a new Tree Record location". If you would prefer to email your images to us, please use the details on the contact page.
